ChatPDF is a quick, beginner-friendly way to chat with PDFs and get page-cited answers. It’s great for occasional single-document use, though its free limits and weaker handling of scans or complex tables hold it back.

We test each tool ourselves and score ease of use, the free plan, quality of results, and value. The overall score is the average.
